How is Docs Rack Rage different from competitors?
Rack Rage is a balanced supplement, meaning we are making sure that the metabolizable energy, (for growth and gain) and the protein, calcium, and phosphorous, ( for greater antler growth), are in the proper proportions for the best production we can get.
Most of the other products that I have seen out on the Market are only targeting protein, which is important, but as a rule in nutrition, digestible energy in the diet tends to be the limiting factor in growth/production. * For example, a professional athlete needs to have somewhere around 150 to 350 grams of protein intake per day, (depending on size and level of activity), for muscle growth and weight gain, but he also needs to intake carbs,(which is energy) at a rate of 2,000 to 4,000 calories per day, without the carbs, (energy) he cannot expect “feed” the muscle to allow the additional protein to help develop to muscle mass for athletic performance, the deer basically do the same, so if we only supply protein, we short the animal on energy. If protein is only supplied, the animal will convert it into energy through the digestive process. This is both expensive and not as efficient as you would like, causing less than optimal performance, (less protein overall to the animal, and not enough digestible energy equal average animals not able to reach their genetic potential).
If we calculate that deer need to eat 3% of their body weight on a dry matter basis for better than average growth potential, it only makes sense to feed them a balanced supplement to help them achieve that goal. A 180 lb. buck will need to get 5.4 lbs of Dry Matter feed a day., (Dry matter is 100% dry, no moisture). . Most of the studies on deer are showing that a good buck needs a 22% protein in his diet for optimal horn growth. This also means that this same buck will need 1.188,(basically 1.2 lbs of crude protein per day).
* Example- Standing alfalfa, early bloom, will be approximately 65% water and 22% protein. So, if a buck is allowed to graze that good field of alfalfa and eat 8 lbs. in an evening feeding, ( 8 x .65= 5.2 lbs of water, 8-5.2 = 2.8 lbs. of dry matter feed), so he is still short of his need for dry matter intake. Then, you take 2.8 lbs of dry matter feed times 22% protein,(2.8 x .22 = .616 lbs. of crude protein) so he’s still going to be short on protein, not to mention the digestible energy.
That is why a balanced supplement such as Rack Rage is important. If that same 180 buck eats 2 lbs of Rack Rage, he will receive another .44 lbs of crude protein, (.44 + .616 =1.056 lbs. of crude protein), plus, will receive the energy needed along with the micro nutrients and trace minerals to help him be the best deer he can be.
Our minerals offered to the deer are chelated. Chelated minerals are bonded with an amino acid which allows for easier transfer through the intestinal wall and are then more readily absorbed into the blood stream. This gives the animal the best opportunity for health and growth potential.

What is going to be the difference between the Doc’s Rack Rock and the Doc’s Mineral Licks?
Mineral licks and Rack Rock are both minerals..just in different forms..the licks have more surface area to increase bioavailability..but a lot of people love the rack rocks because of its simplicity.
How is Docs Food Plots Different from competitors?
We're the best and here is why. Your plot bags are not packaged until ordered, which in turn gives you the freshest most current seeds possible.
This in turn gives you the best opportunity for germination.
Example; a very good friend worked at a sporting goods store for 4 years. I was in there one night looking at their food plot seeds. They were 3 years old! What happens to a lot of these outfits is in order to get them shipped they have to order a pallet of the product for the best freight rate. Consequently there is carry over into the next season, than the new products don’t get rotated with old product, etc., etc., than you may end up with product over 2 years old. So even if it is cheap, chances are ½ the stand won’t germinate and grow. Germinate- To begin to grow or develop into a plant or individual, as a seed, spore, or bulb.
